Destiny Quest

Destiny Quest is a computerised catalogue of the books and items owned by EMS Libraries. It is searchable from computers located in the library and also from home. The Library Catalogue also provides access to the holdings of books in the other EMS libraries. (EMS AL Khor and EMS Al Wakra)

To access the catalogue

• Go to the library website and click on the Destiny Quest link and you will be directed to the homepage.
• Destiny Quest can be searched by keywords, author, title, subject, ect.
• When searching for what you looking for, click on the title in the results to look at it in the full display format which will give a brief description of the item. The following are important to look at:
  • Location: where the item is held (e.g primary library)
  • Call No: is the shelf address of the item. The same call number is also printed on the book/items spine label.
  • Status: will either show IN, OUT, LOST or ASK. This is the availability of the item.

Finding a book on the shelf

Read the call numbers on the books.

• 741.5: Graphic Novels
• 921: Biographies
• 123: Non-Fiction (Arranged numerically)
• F: Fiction
• YA: Young Adult
• REF: Reference
• Prof: Teacher section
• Adult: Teacher section
• AR: Arabic
• FR: French
